Every piece we sell stays on the site after it has gone. There are three reasons. A sold price with a full description and photographs is the most useful comparison a buyer of the next piece can have, and we would rather you compared against our record than against an auction estimate. A published record of where an object was and what was said about it is the beginning of its provenance, which is how a bowl becomes “the bowl that was at Xanadu in 2026” rather than an anonymous bowl. And keeping our descriptions public keeps us honest: if we were wrong about something, the record is there to be corrected. Sold pieces are marked as sold and cannot be added to the basket; the descriptions, condition reports and photographs remain as they were at the time of sale. If you own a piece that appears here and would like a valuation, or to sell it, see valuations and sell to us.
A record of what has passed through my hands. Sold pieces stay on this site with their photographs, condition notes and provenance intact — partly because a dealer’s track record should be visible, and partly because the same questions come up again on the next comparable object.
If something here is close to what you are looking for, say so. I buy continuously and can usually find a comparable piece. Tell me what you are after.
Sold
Nothing has sold through this site yet. As pieces sell they will be listed here, and each will keep its own page.
